Q: |
What is the difference
between goalsharing and gainsharing? |
|
|
|
|
|
A: |
There is a subtle distinction between the two programs
though the terminology is often used interchangeably.
Gainsharing plans are typically built on improvements
over historical levels of productivity (e.g., scrap
reduction; units produced; labor and a ratio of production).
Goalsharing is based on, typically, one to five measures
of future focused objectives that represent key drivers
of the business' success.
