The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) is a federal law that establishes minimum wage, overtime pay, record-keeping, and child labor standards that affect employees in both the private and government sectors. FLSA is overseen by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), Wage & Hour Division.
